Kochav Nolad (Hebrew: כוכב נולד‎) (meaning A Star Is Born) is an Israeli reality television show searching for talented new vocalists based on the British Pop Idol and American Idol model. Since its debut on Israeli Channel 2 in 2003, Kokhav Nolad has achieved great popularity and turned out many new musical stars. The show is hosted by Zvika Hadar. Harel Skaat (Hebrew: הראל סקעת, born 8 August 1981) is an Israeli singer and songwriter. He represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Milim" ("מילים", "Words"). Harel Moyal (Hebrew: הראל מויאל‎, born January 18, 1981) is a popular young Israeli pop singer-songwriter and stage actor who won the second season of the Israeli television series Kochav Nolad (Hebrew for A Star Is Born). He has released two albums. Shiri Maimon (Hebrew: שירי מימון; born 17 May 1981) is an Israeli pop/R&B singer, TV show host and actress, who rose to fame as the runner-up in the TV show Kokhav Nolad. She represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. Ninet Tayeb (Hebrew: נינט טייב‎, also known as Ninette or Nina) (born October 21, 1983, in Kiryat Gat, Israel) is an Israeli-pop rock singer and actress who became widely known as the first winner of Kochav Nolad (the Israeli version of American Idol). Boaz Mauda (Hebrew: בועז מעודה‎, b. April 23, 1987) is an Israeli singer and songwriter. He won the fifth season of Kokhav Nolad, the Israeli version of Pop Idol, and represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest
